Our Team

Austin Binder, ADT

Regional Director of Operations

I am the Regional Director of Operations for Maryland, where I oversee operations across multiple behavioral health and recovery programs. I focus on creating safe, consistent, and well-supported environments so clinical teams can deliver high-quality addiction treatment and recovery support.

I have several years of leadership experience in residential and outpatient behavioral health settings. My work has included opening and strengthening programs throughout Maryland and Virginia, developing operational systems, supporting leadership teams, and maintaining high standards for safety, compliance, quality assurance, medication processes, and facility readiness.

My approach is structured, practical, direct, and client centered. I believe strong operations are an essential part of effective care, and I work closely with clinical and operational leaders to create organized, dependable, and structured programs where staff can succeed, and clients can focus on recovery.

Education & Certifications:

  •     ADT
  •     Behavioral health operations, regulatory compliance, safety, quality assurance, medication-process oversight, and program development

I am passionate about this work because strong programs can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. As a person who is directly affected by addiction, I aim to treat everyone who still suffers with compassion, dignity, respect, and show them an easier, softer way. Outside of work, I enjoy gaming, traveling, collecting and selling Pokémon cards and spending time with family.

Rob Clark

Director of Operations

Hey, my name is Rob Clark. I am from South Jersey, but have lived in NyNY, Orlando, Miami, Towson, Chicago, West Chester and Pittsburgh! I started working in Recovery 4 years ago in West Chester, NY for Release Recovery where I started out as a BHT. Soon thereafter I was training to be a lead at Release, when the call came and off I was to Westminster to begin my journey at Recovery 180. Being blessed to be surrounded by the best leadership one could ask for, my training began to one day, be an Operator at Recovery 180.

I have worked in the recovery field going on 4 years now, starting off as a BHT. My dream became a reality when my brother asked me to work for Release. Release is a Men’s Transitional Living behavioral community offering support for substance use and mental health.

Release had 3 single homes that I worked at, each housing about 20-25 men with a live-in kitchen staff.

I then had my dream answered and got the call to come work for Recovery 180. In mid-2025 I began working at the Southern Ave location as a Lead Tech. Here we handle medication assistance, transportation, facilitating group, and all around support. Which paved the way to where I am at now, Director of Operations at Recovery 180, Clifton Ave. location.

My approach to client care is Keep it Honest & Keep it Simple. I do my best to remember what it was to be lost and alone, to feel as if there is nowhere to turn and no one to turn too. Appreciating where I came from gives me understanding and compassion, this is how we can show men how to believe in themselves once again.

This job, well, does not feel like work. It feels like I have been given opportunity. I get to do exactly what I was meant to do. I have the opportunity to meet men and women and change the course of their lives. I had a desk job, and going to work everyday was a chore with no meaning and no purpose. I thank god that I have been given inspiration on a daily basis.

My hobbies include pickle ball, softball and Fantasy Football. I am quite the pool player having played in numerous leagues and tournaments.

Fun Fact: I partnered with a college buddy, and we opened a video lip synching business back in the 80’s! Also, I lived in Cancun for 4 months!

Brittney Boulden, CAC-AD-S

Clinical Director, Clifton

I am a Clinical Director at Recovery180 Clifton, where I provide clinical leadership and support to adult males receiving behavioral health and addiction treatment services. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate recovery, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

I have worked in the behavioral health field for five years, gaining experience across multiple levels of care and clinical settings. My professional background includes serving as a facility administrator at a medication-assisted treatment practice, a SUD supervisor in PHP/IOP/OP services, and a clinician at a 3.5 level of care. Throughout my career, I have worked with adults, including individuals involved in the legal system, and have developed a strong understanding of substance use and behavioral health treatment.

My approach to working with clients is person-centered, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that everyone has the ability to make meaningful changes in their lives. My philosophy is to meet clients where they are, build a strong therapeutic relationship, and create a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the recovery process. I utilize evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and a person-centered approach, to help clients identify barriers to change, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen motivation, and work toward individualized treatment and recovery goals.

Education

Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice

Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health with an Emphasis in Substance Use Disorders

Licensure/Certifications

I am passionate about this work because I have personally seen and experienced how challenging it can be to navigate struggles with addiction and behavioral health. Those experiences have given me a deeper sense of empathy and understanding for individuals who may feel stuck, discouraged, or unsure of where to turn. Helping others recognize their own potential, work through their challenges, and build healthier and more fulfilling lives is what continues to inspire me and gives purpose to the work I do.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and being involved in my son’s activities. One of my favorite roles is being a team parent for my son’s soccer team, which allows me to stay involved, support the team, and be part of those special moments as he grows.

I absolutely love Halloween and anything fall-related! From the changing leaves and cozy atmosphere to all things Halloween, fall is definitely my favorite time of year.

Rachel Markus, LCSW-C

Chief Clinical Officer

As Chief Clinical Officer at Recovery 180, I oversee clinical operations, program development, and clinical staff across our facilities. I work with adult men and women experiencing mental health and substance use disorders, and have particular expertise in trauma and addictions.

I have worked in behavioral health since 2008 and have practiced as a licensed therapist since 2012. My professional background includes community mental health, private practice, and substance abuse treatment, including clinical leadership in both inpatient and outpatient treatment centers across many levels of care.

My approach to substance abuse and mental health treatment is client-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in a strengths-based perspective. Drawing from training motivational interviewing, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, and psychodrama, I help clients recognize their strengths, deepen self-understanding, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. I believe in honoring the inherent worth and potential of every individual, regardless of the challenges they face or the behaviors they have exhibited.

I earned my Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor.

My own recovery journey, which began in 2008, inspires my commitment to creating meaningful connections and providing the compassionate support that has been so important in my own life.

Outside of work, I enjoy CrossFit, fostering and adopting dogs, and spending time with my wife and our two children. I also recently began taking golf lessons and hope to make it to Pebble Beach pretty soon.
